 1. What is media in teaching ? How many media types do you know, explain!

Learning media is a teaching tool or material that is used to help stimulate students' thoughts, feelings, abilities and attention in the teaching and learning process in the classroom.
The types of learning media that I know are in the form of audio such as radio or voice recordings that can help train students' listening skills. there are also audio-visual media such as television or computer devices that display images and audio at the same time. This media is a media that can be heard as well as seen.

 

2. Why teacher needs media in teaching ?

Teachers really need media in the teaching process because with media the teacher is able to explain complex or boring material that becomes simpler and attracts students' attention. So that students can become more active in the teaching and learning process. 

 

3.  What are the criteria of good teaching media ?

  • Its accuracy with teaching objectives, meaning that the teaching media is selected on the basis of predetermined instructional goals. 
  • Support for the content of teaching materials, meaning that learning materials that are facts, principles, concepts and generalizations really need media assistance to make it easier for students to understand. 
  • Ease of obtaining media, meaning that the required media is easy to obtain, at least it is easy for teachers to make during teaching. 
  • The teacher's skill in using it means that no matter how sophisticated a media is, if you don't know how to use it, then the media has no meaning. 
  • There is time to use it, so that the media can be useful for students during teaching 
  • Choosing learning media must be in accordance with the students' level of thinking, so that the meaning contained in it can be understood by students.

 

 4. Do you think that teaching media needs to be developed ? why ?

I think yes, teaching media needs to be developed. Because over time, science and technology are increasingly developing, teachers must also develop in responding to the times so that learning media must also develop to increase effectiveness and creativity in the teaching and learning process, so that students do not experience a decrease in enthusiasm for learning and teachers also do not having difficulty in preparing teaching materials.
